The journey of a widowed Southern lady stranded in the Mid-west surviving the perils and pearls of grief, adult children, grandchildren, writing, retirement, and assorted crises.
I know! I was so happy. That dress came out so beautifully. But let me tell you, getting those sleeves right was a bugger. I'm going to make her another one for next winter. And I'd like to do one in a very light thread for the summer. It was fun making it.
The sweater was quite another matter. I had a pattern and my experience is that patterns are notoriously difficult to read. I actually like the diagram patterns best. But it came out ok. Just got to get buttons tomorrow. She probably will be able to use the sweater for a little bit longer. I'll make her one for next winter over the summer.
They fit GREAT!! Cynthia, both creations are beautiful!
