The journey of a widowed Southern lady stranded in the Mid-west surviving the perils and pearls of grief, adult children, grandchildren, writing, retirement, and assorted crises.
My Dad and his family ate collard and turnip greens, but Mom's wasn't, so we never had them at home. David's family (birth and adoptive) we all from north of the Mason-Dixon line and there's no way I'll get him to try it. Oddly enough, I haven't found it on menus down here, either. Guess I'll have to come visit to find out what I'm missing!!
